Fred Croft began his career in 1971 as an actuary with Aetna Life & Casualty.   He joined Van Kampen Merritt, Inc. in 1978 as Director of Research where he led the company's entrance into new unit investment trusts, mutual funds, and the sale of gold and silver bullion.  Fred worked on the sale of Van Kampen Merritt to Xerox Financial Services and handled corporate planning and reporting to Xerox following the sale.  In 1998, Fred formed James Investments to acquire operating companies in manufacturing and financial services.  James Investments purchased a majority ownership of Enterprise Funding Group in 2005.

Fred is a graduate of Amherst College, Amherst, MA, and received his M.B.A from Tulane University Graduate School of Business, New Orleans, LA, with concentrations in finance and accounting.
